I receive a lot of questions from CNC readers about Designed to Fit Nutrition, a custom meal plan business that I started with my friend Kerrie a little over a year ago. It’s been a whirlwind experience so far, and, HOLY COW, do we have some exciting stuff on the agenda in the coming months. I can’t wait to share all of the awesome news with you guys!
In the meantime, I wanted to share some “Client Spotlights” from our blog, which will give you an idea what DTFN is all about. Lyndsey joined DTFN when KFIT put on an 8-week fitness challenge. She was already a member at KFIT and once Kerrie had put on nutrition lecture she was hooked and ready to track! Lyndsey thought, “Would I be able to do it? Would I buy it and go off and do my own thing as I had done so many times before on all of the other fad diets I attempted?” Well after 4 weeks she said it was the BEST 4 weeks. Lyndsey weight didn’t change much but her entire body composition changed! She ended up buying another 8-week program and proudly stated “during my 12 weeks with DTFN, I have accomplished things I never thought were possible. I ran my fastest 5k, lifted heavier weights, have better endurance, and FQ’d my first CrossFit Open.”
Lauren purchased the 8- week Marcos plan and she mentioned that she was “thrilled to find a meal plan that offered me new recipes each week, but also allowed me to keep making some of my favorite go-to meals.” She experienced the importance of meal prepping for a few hours 1-2 a week and also realized how it easy it was to get back on track after vacation because DTFN is delicious and realistic!
Alicia & Walter: Together they have a total of 95 pounds! Both Walter & Alicia experienced some outstanding non-scale victories. Alicia’s doctor wanted to put her on medication for both her blood pressure and cholesterol but she was committed to losing weight! After 12 weeks of DTFN, she went back for another check-up and everything was back in normal range! Walter, also has given up his acid reflux medication after starting the DTFN meal plans! Talk about Non-Scale Victories! They both said, “It’s the first diet we’ve done that hasn’t felt like a punishment.”
Kelly was experiencing a major workout rut & meal prepping has become a thing of the past. She knew she needed to change something because the ordering out was beginning to catch up with her. A few weeks later she spoke with Kerri and decided it was time to sign up for with DTFN. Her intent was to do 4 weeks, but she felt so great during that time that she ended going doing another 6 weeks and she said it was the best decision for her. It gave her the confidence back she had been looking for on this wellness journey. “A weight has been lifted, both figuratively and literally and I seriously cannot thank Kerrie enough for working with me and getting me back on track.”
Lea-Ann had noticed a post about DTFN on Facebook and that’s all it took for her to sign up! She was low on energy, and knew she needed to get to a healthier weight! After finishing up her first plan she said “This is by far the best money I have ever spent on a nutrition plan. I refuse to call this plan a “diet” because it is not a diet. It is a true lifestyle change.” She also mentioned that she is a bit of a picky eater and thought that might have been difficult with the meal plan, but every menu option was delicious and nothing went into the trash. Overall she’s lost 42lbs on this health journey!
Kim was looking for a plan to help lose the baby weight she had gained during her pregnancy. Even though she was active during that time, she wasn’t eating the best foods. She ended up meeting Tina and Kerri through CrossFit, which led her to sign up for the 8-week meal plan! As the weeks went by Kim would get excited about the meal plans because there were so many recipes and the combinations were endless. DTFN was also very accommodating to her food restrictions (dairy & gluten) due to breastfeeding. Kim said, “The 8 weeks were over before I knew it, and I lost a total of 16 pounds and 4% body fat. With the help of Tina and what I learned through DTFN, I was able to lose a total of 50 pounds and 5.5% body fat postpartum!”
