2018 Brooks Running Run Happy Ambassador Weekend

Hi, friends and hello from Seattle! I’m spending one more night here before I fly to Redmond, Oregon for a fun-filled week with the Haupert clan. I’m solo tonight at the hotel, so it’s the perfect time to recap an epic weekend with the Brooks Running Run Happy Ambassadors . This is my 4th year with Brooks , and this trip might just be my favorite yet! I had such a wonderful time with an awesome bunch of runners (seriously, I loved everyone), and the whole experience was so fun and so well organized. I definitely feel honored to be part of such a great group! With that, here’s a recap of the best of the weekend! The Run Happy Ambassadors! Clean Eating Watermelon Lemonade Recipe

This clean eating watermelon lemonade is the perfect, refreshing drink for hot summer days! Summer is only a few weeks old right now, and we’ve already seen triple digit heat in my area of the San Francisco bay. It’s not pleasant, but it does have one great thing to offer. Summer produce! When it gets sweltering hot out, I start to turn to foods that are lighter and fresher. Foods like watermelon that help keep me hydrated. This was a last minute inspiration after cutting into a watermelon I had no hope of eating before it went bad. Love it when that happens!! ABOUT THE RECIPE: I used a Vitamix blender. If you have a lower powered blender, you may have to strain some of the residual chunks out of the drink before pouring it into your glass. The cilantro is optional. However, if you enjoy cilantro, try crushing up a spring with your fingers, shoving it down into the glass and then pouring your drink. You only need one sprig. Delish!
