24 Days of Togetherness: Days 1 – 9

Hi, friends! Happy Monday! I hope you had a very nice weekend! 🙂

Ours was low-key, but really great. There was a lot of holiday cheer to be had, especially now that we’re in full swing with our 24 Days of Togetherness tradition. I can’t believe we’ve already finished 9 days! The time is sure flying by, which is why I love that we have a “bucket list” of sorts to make sure that we take full advantage of the season. With that, here’s a recap of our holiday activities so far!

DAY 1: Read a Christmas book before bed

DAY 2: Make holiday pancakes

And Quinn ate a piece of bacon!!

DAY 3: Bake Christmas cookies

DAY 4: Watch a holiday movie

We watched Home Alone!

DAY 5: Tell each other something you love about them.

Quinn said he loves my hugs and snuggles and playing with Dada.

Mal said he loves the (weird) selfies and Instagram posts that I send him. He said he loves it when Quinn tells funny stories.

I said I love that Mal is such a great dad and that Quinn is so kind and takes care of other people. (After I said that, he brought me a blanket to put on my lap since I was sitting on the couch.)

DAY 6: Take a drive and look for Christmas lights.

Like previous years, we visited Lilah Lane in Pembroke. On the drive, Mal said to Quinn the Christmas lights would “blow his mind.” Quinn’s response: “Nope, nothing blows my mind. Fire doesn’t come out of my head!” The kid is so funny! He loved seeing the lights, and we drove through the neighborhood 3 times!

DAY 7: Send a letter to Santa.

DAY 8: Buy each other small gifts.

We took a family trip to Target and bought one another small gifts.

DAY 9: Decorate a gingerbread house

P.S. Local followers: This weekend at the Derby Street Shops, there’s a free Cookie Decorating Class + Milk & Cookies with Santa. Quinn and I will be there! Details and to sign up here!
