Eggs are an easy and nutritious breakfast, but some mornings a plate of eggs just isn’t what your body craves. Viva variety!

The Friday 5

Hi, guys!

Happy (almost) Friday to you! I hope your first week of 2019 is off to a wonderful start!

I decided to hit publish on this blog post a little early because, well, I had it ready to go and figured you might want to read it sooner than later. 🙂 So, guys, it’s time for another edition of The Friday 5 (on Thursday afternoon) where I cut to the chase and share my top 5 favorites from the week. (Five is also my lucky number!) Without further ado, here’s The Friday 5 (on Thursday)!

EVERYTHING from Athleta – For real. Athleta is seriously stepping it up with their apparel – and, holy cow, I love everything! Mal bought me this fuzzy pullover for Christmas (love), and I’ve been eyeing the Cozy Karma Asym Pullover. I actually saw a woman at the gym yesterday wearing it, and it’s definitely cute in person! Other favorites: Mesh Contender CapriContender Laser Cut 7/8 Tight (comes in 8 different colors #obsessed), Fitted Victory Hoodie, Camo Contender 7/8 Tight, and pretty much all of the tank tops. Athleta is killing it lately! #notsponsored #justobsessed

Kay’s Naturals high-protein snacks and cereal – If you follow me on Instagram Stories, you’ve probably seen lots of snacks (and related macros) from Kay’s Naturals recently. The brand sent me some of their snacks and cereal to try out, and I’m totally obsessed. They’re so darn delicious, high in protein, and I love that they are gluten-free, low in sugar, and non-GMO. Their products are made with high-quality plant protein and don’t contain a bunch of weird ingredients. They also don’t taste artificial like some high-protein snacks on the market nowadays. I’m a huge fan!

What I especially love about Kay’s products is the variety! Kay’s makes so many tasty flavors of snacks and cereals, so you can switch it up and satisfy just about any craving. Their “FitKit” sampler includes 15 single-serving bags, including French Vanilla Cereal, Honey Almond Cereal, Veggie Pizza Puffs, Cinnamon Toast Pretzels, Chili Nacho Protein Chips, Crispy Parmesan Protein Chips, Cinnamon Cookie Bites, Mocha Espresso Cookie Bites (<— so, so, so delicious), and BBQ Snack Mix. Holy yum, right?

Kay’s offers a number of sampler packs, so be sure to head over and check out all of the delicious options! If you’re interested in giving Kay’s a try, here’s a little incentive: Save 30% with code CarrotsNCake! Also, be sure to sign up for their newsletter to stay in the loop about future deals and discounts!

Our 2018 Chatbook – You guys might remember me professing my love for Chatbooks in the past, and I’m even more in love now that we’re ready to print another year of memories. Their hardcover books are really beautiful, and Chatbooks makes it SO EASY to create them, especially if you have an Instagram account. (Side note: I created an Instagram account for Murphy just so we could easily print his photos in like 25 years when he goes to doggie heaven.) You just load all of your Instagram photos right into their system, select the photos you want, pick a cover, and place your order. Easy as that! (I have no affiliation with the brand at all – just really love their product – but I do get credit if you end up signing up.)

Reusable Silicone Straws with Case – I love these straws so much! In fact, before I discovered them, I said I wished there was a reusable straw that I could just bring with me from place to place when buying iced coffee, and here it is!

My new juicer – After a lot of recommendations and research (like, I’m a juicer expert now), I finally ordered the Breville 800JEXL Juice Fountain Elite 1000-Watt Juice Extractor, and it’s everything I ever wanted and more! My previous juicer was so old, and it would take me forever to make juice and even longer to clean it up. It was such a process and made me not want to make juice at all. Eventually, one of the juicer pieces started to crack (it was made of plastic), so I saw it as a sign to upgrade.

My new Breville dominates fruits and veggies! Guys, you can put an entire bunch of celery or whole apple into it, and it juices it right up! It’s a little loud, but it’s so fast at extracting juice, it’s really not that big of a deal because your juice is made in a matter of seconds (really). And cleaning the machine takes maybe 5 minutes. It’s made of stainless steal, so a quick rinse is all it needs. I’m in love and SO GLAD that I bit the bullet and purchased a better juicer. The Breville actually makes me look forward to making juice in the morning! 🙂

That’s all I’ve got for now. I hope you enjoy your Friday and the upcoming the weekend! 🙂

P.S. Here’s a bonus favorite from the week – it’s pretty much everything I love on one pillow: Pug, Coffee & Donut Pillow! 🙂

P.P.S. Today is the final day to register for the Master Your Macros Challenge! We have an awesome group signed up and ready to go, and we’d love to have you join us! If you still have some questions, please check out these 2 blog posts or send me a message!
