The Friday 5 [Casual Sneakers]

Hi, guys! Happy FRIDAY to you!

I’ve received a number of questions from readers and followers about my favorite casual shoes in the past few weeks. I basically LIVE in sneakers and pretty much wear some sort of casual shoe everyday. I’ve shared a bunch of favorites on CNC over the years, but they’re sprinkled into all sorts of blog posts, so they’re semi-difficult to find if you don’t know where to look.

Long story short, I decided to highlight my favorite sneakers and casual shoes in this Friday 5 round-up. Each of these shoes make regular appearances in my wardrobe, and they all look cute with jeans and leggings! 🙂

TOMS Del Rey Sneaker – These TOMS are probably the shoe that I swear most often because they’re comfy and go with just about any outfit. I also receive the most compliments on them! I mean, how adorable are these sneakers? They’re on sale for just $55 on, and you get free shipping both ways!

Keds Studio Dash – I get questions ALL time time about the shoes, and they’re truly one of my favorites since they slip on and off so easily. They’re super lightweight, comfy, and coordinate with lots of different outfits. And, bonus, they’re on sale right now for just $29!

Brooks Revel – The Revel are a long-time favorite of mine, and they’re an awesome hybrid running + lifestyle shoe. They have an adorable knit pattern on them, so you can wear them out with friends, running errands, etc., but you can totally run in them too. Brooks actually just released the Revel 2, and they are so cute! I actually like these color combos even better!

Brooks Bedlam – Super cute, right?! I just blogged about these last week, but they deserve another mention. Besides being stylish, these sneakers are light-weight, supportive, and perfect for everyday activities as well. The Bedlam are definitely a new favorite!

Sperry Seaside Perforated Sneakers – These Sperry’s are a long-time favorite as well, and I still wear them a ton. They’ve held up really well over the years. And, right now, they’re on sale for just $52!

Do I have to sell a certain amount each month?

There is not a monthly minimum; however, you do have sell $1,200 every 6 months, with $250 of that being New Volume (people who haven’t purchased from you before). The $1,200 (minus the New Volume) does include your own purchases.

I don’t like to sell, and I’m not a salesperson. How would I find this fun or rewarding?

Beautycounter isn’t just a beauty company, they’re part of a movement. Consultants educate and advocate more than just sell. Personally, I want people to learn how to make safer choices, and the products are so amazing that they will literally sell themselves. I enjoy teaching others about the need for safer beauty and giving them a safer option to try. Additionally, I love it when I hear that Beautycounter’s products are helping women to have the best skin of their lives, a child’s eczema has disappeared, or that cleaning up a skincare routine has helped clear life-long acne. It makes every single minute of this work worth it. I don’t know of many other jobs that allow the freedom and flexibility to do work that really matters in pockets of free time while having such a great impact!

Is there a discount for consultants?

Yes! Consultants get 25% off retail pricing, which, if you already love the products, is an amazing perk!

How do you learn about the products if you don’t have them or can’t afford them?

Beautycounter has some really great training sessions that start as soon as you sign up. You can learn all about the products straight from the creators themselves. This is another area where our team can really help grow your business. If you’re unsure about something, you just have to ask. Someone is always willing to jump in and help!

That’s it for now. If you have additional questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m more than happy to chat on a quick phone call to give you additional details – just let me know! I’d love for you to be part of my team!

P.S. If you don’t want to become a Beautycounter consultant, but want to stay in the know about discounts and sales, be sure to sign up for my Beautycounter newsletter!

Keto for Men: 6 Tips to Optimize Your Results

Morning Staples + Stitch Fix For Kids

The makings of a morning:

I usually gather everything I need onto the table before eating breakfast – there are a lot of things! Breakfast bowl of a strawberry Fage yogurt with chopped pear and homemade granola.

Stitch Fix has branched out a bunch since it began, including maternity, men’s and kids! I am excited to start my fixes back up this year now that I’m very close to my usual size. In the meantime, Stitch Fix sent us a box for Mazen!

I filled out his profile with an emphasis on comfortable play clothes, animals, shoes, and “cool” outfits. I was more than impressed with what they sent! They aren’t paying me to write this post and I was under no obligation to write about it – I just thought everything was super cute and wanted to share!

The dino slippers were a huge hit.

Especially with the complete dinosaur-themed jump suit! Mazen loved it.

He made me put on his shark sweatshirt and we had an animal battle.

I loved these Sperry sneakers for nicer occasions.

He got two pairs of Hatley pajamas, which are very nice fabric and always needed.

And a cute little outfit complete with a stylin’ jacket.

I would love to do a box for him every season, and since you can order them on demand, there’s no commitment. Everything in our box totaled $165 with the buy-all discount, and since everything fit we kept it all. I thought the prices were pretty good for what we got, nice shoes and brands included. Stitch Fix has kids sizes 2T to 14 and they send 8-12 pieces. Try it out!
