Microworkouts: Effective, At Home Workouts In Two Minutes or Less

Image
A lot of us get hung up on this idea of what an exercise session is supposed to look like. We think about driving over to the gym, squeezing into a crowded class, or working through a room full of complex contraptions, machines, and heavy plates. In our minds, it has to be a certain duration or intensity, or it doesn’t count. It has to have a warm-up and a cool-down, and we’re supposed to sweat so we’ll need to shower when it’s over. That mindset turns the simple act of moving your muscles into something you don’t have time for, something you’re too tired or sore to do today, something that seems too overwhelming for the moment you’re in right now. Don’t underestimate the power of short, at home workouts. I’m challenging you to change your mindset, emerge from our flawed, dated and narrow approach to fitness and step into a much broader perspective about what it means to be fit. The concept of microworkouts is taking hold, and being touted by emerging science, respected coaches, tra

What We’ve Been Eating

^^ Hard boiled eggs and egg salad in the Instant Pot Minimize fresh, Maximize pantry + freezer Like all of you, we’re trying to minimize unnecessary trips to the grocery store and make our pantry and freezer food last us as long as possible. We’ve been getting some meals from Plenty or takeout and the rest are improvised at home with what we have on hand. This easy apple salsa recipe is quick, tasty and pairs super well with zucchini chips! I have a particular penchant for dehydrated zucchini chips. They have been a staple in my fridge for months now and I don’t think that will change any time soon. If you have a dehydrator, I highly recommend it. Just slice and dehydrate! No seasonings required. And if you leave them plain, they tend to go well with salsas like this one. Apple salsa is not the first thing most folks go for when they think of salsa. But I can tell you that when paired with the right foods, few things can beat it! This would go well as a topping for pork chops or even as a sweet addition to tacos. See more suggestions below. HOW TO MAKE APPLE SALSA This particular recipe couldn’t be easier! If you can chop and apple, you can make this salsa in minutes. Simply chop the apple (and pepper, if using) into salsa-sized pieces and combine everything in a mixing bowl. Super easy and super delicious! HOW LONG DOES THIS L
