Cruncy Trastevere Pizza Margherita Born in Naples in 1889, by the inspiration of the Neapolitan pizzaiolo Raffaele Esposito, the margherita pizza was created on the occasion of the visit of Queen Margherita, then sovereign of Italy with the King Umberto I, in the beautiful city of Naples.
