Eat, Drink and Be Maritime

Hi from Bald Head!! I’m here with my parents, my sister, and her husband for a week. We’re having a great time now that that tropical storm has passed. We’ve never stayed here for our beach week, (only for the spring, and the fall and for my sister’s wedding), so this is super exciting!!

The house that we are renting is absolutely stunning – it’s recently been renovated and is the perfect floor plan for our family.

On the first night, we arrived on the 6pm ferry, so we went straight to dinner at the Shoal’s Club.

Luckily for us, it was ‘half price appetizer night’! We had one of everything on the menu, and everything was amazing!

My favorite appetizer was these huge crab legs!

Breakfast was a cinnamon chip bread with butter, coffee and blueberries.

On day two, we managed to fit in a little beach time before Tropical Storm Colin rolled in…

And then, we prepared for the storm – which ended up not being a big deal at all. It was a good time to do a puzzle!

Lunch was a salad with spinach, cheese, ham and wine. (Yes, wine!)

I spent the afternoon working on the puzzle. Yes, I’m still working!

Dinner on Monday was a pizza made by Larbs!

And then we had an ice cream pie!

Just slightly melt the ice cream and pour it into a pie crust.

On Tuesday morning, we woke up to slightly sunny skies, and I had eggs and blueberries for breakfast and worked some more on the puzzle.

We had a blast in the morning, and then came in for smoothies and ate All. The. Chips. for lunch.

The afternoon was spent by the pool at the Shoal’s Club. Mazen loved it!

It’s been a fun few days, and some of us are well-rested for even more fun!
