I picked Mazen up from school to discover him in possession of a calculator, aka his “math.” He did an impressive job plugging in numbers and reporting the answer!

We had a great afternoon playing outside. (Except for the fact that I got pollen all in my eyelashes and it trickled down to my eyeballs and I spent about an hour crying.)

The highlight of the afternoon was when a truck came to remove a big branch from the neighbor’s yard that fell during strong winds. The kids loved watching them haul it into the chopper, and they especially loved seeing the guys climb the tree to cut down the rest of the branch.

Officer Mazen went through our whole Star Wars band-aid collection fixing our little neighbor’s many scrapes!

For dinner we made a Blue Apron meal – salmon with roasted potato and kale salad. Topped with crème fraîche! Yum.

The kiddo version eventually got consumed after a lot of distracting construction worker playing!

He has really become such a better eater this year!
