Scale Obsessions… WHY?!?

Soooooo, I’m still trying to figure out the cadence of the live blogging with the other content on CNC. Today’s weekend posts probably seem a bit out of order, but, hopefully, I can find a grove with publishing. Oy. Blogging life is not like it used to be! Anyway, this recap is actually from yesterday afternoon, so it’s not so “live,” but I’m working on it! 😉 #hotmess

Lunch was a throw-together salad with all sorts of goodies from my Sunday food prep. During the week, I’d say 90% of my lunches look like this – I just throw together whatever is cooked and ready into a bowl and call it a meal. I’m definitely not fancy, but lunch is easy, quick, delicious, and nutritious. I love that I don’t have to think about it!

After that, I got to work on a post about my OPEX experience. My partnership ended nearly a month ago, so the blog post is long overdue. I’m hoping to have it live on CNC next week. Please note (photo below): My weight (on the scale) went up more than a pound, but I lost fat and gained muscle. Reason #845 why the scale is just a mind f*ck and not an accurate measure of your progress!

A short while later, I headed to the Derby Street Shoppes for a meeting. When I got into my car, I noticed that it was SO CLEAN. This summer it’s been filled with sand, sand, and more sand after our trips to the beach, so I was especially happy and thankful that Mal cleaned it for me – probably because it was absolutely disgusting and he knew I never would.

My meeting was at the Capital One Cafe – remember how much time I spent here last summer?

I had about 30 minutes to kill before my meeting, so I broke out my laptop, ordered some decaf espresso over ice, and got down to work.

A short while later, I met up with some nice folks from Derby Street about a really cool partnership. Local readers: Keep you eyes peeled for some FUN stuff in the coming months – more to come! 🙂

After the meeting, I picked up Quinn from school and then headed home. I was STARVING when I walked in the door, so I broke out a bag of Salt & Cracked Pepper Chips from Deep River Snacks + some hummus and got to work chowing down. Please note: The pug tail in the background. Murphy is never far from food!

My snack ended up satisfying me quite well, so when dinnertime rolled around, I wasn’t super hungry. I still had some shrimp with sauteed spinach and broccoli – for the nutrients! 🙂
