The Friday 5

Hi, guys! Happy Friday to you! 🙂

What a week. It was a bit hectic, but awesome at the same time. Monday was a holiday. School was cancelled for Mal on Tuesday (due to the cold). On Wednesday, some of our friends came to visit, and then we went to see a Damien Rice concert. (He was phenomenal – one of the best shows I’ve ever seen!) Yesterday, I woke up not knowing what day it was and a tad dehydrated from drinking too much wine and eating like a half bag of salt & vinegar chips. I’m finishing this post, bright (dark) and early, on Friday morning, and here we are just hours away from the weekend!

Since it’s Friday and all, I wanted to share my top 5 favorites from the week, so let’s get to it! 🙂

Fyre Festival – HAVE YOU GUYS HEARD ABOUT THIS? If you haven’t heard about the Fyre Festival yet, it’s truly a WTF. Just last week, two documentaries were release (by both Netflix and Hulu), which share details of the whole fiasco. The story is totally insane! Both documentaries are worth a watch!

Bombas Lightweight No Shows – I first discovered Bombas back in early 2015, and I’ve been a die-hard supporter ever since. Their socks are truly magical. They fit well, stay put, and last… for about 3 years, which, in the sock world, is a good long time. And, truthfully, I only had 8 pairs of their lightweight no shows, so they were in constant rotation during my weekly workouts – and they’re the ONLY socks I wear to work out because they do not slip around inside my sneakers at all. I figured with the recent KonMari obsession it might be good time to get rid of any not-so-awesome socks in your life and purchase ones that “spark joy!” 🙂

Seed Cycling for Hormone Balance – This is a great summary of seed cycling. Initially, I had great success with seed cycling, and I definitely think it helped with my transition off the pill, BUT it’s not a cure-all for hormonal issues. Basically, the seeds worked until they didn’t. Even still, I think they’re worth a try if you’re experiencing wacky hormones – if anything, you’ll get lots of healthy fats and fiber in your diet! 🙂

Also… hopefully, I don’t get eaten alive for saying this, but I’ve also had some incredible successful with celery juice. I know it’s insane and the guy who started the whole trend is a nut job, talking to sprits and all, but my mood, PMS symptoms, and skin has never been better!

I’ve gotten a lot of questions about my recent celery juice habit, so I’ll share more details in the coming weeks. It’s only been a couple of months, so I want to make sure it’s legit before I write a blog post/make a video about my experience. But, of course, if you have questions in the meantime, please let me know!

FYI: Here’s the juicer that I recently purchased. It’s bad-ass and makes 16 ounces of celery juice in like 15 seconds and the pulp comes out nearly dry because it’s so efficient!

I should also add that I’m still taking CBD daily and using the Liver Detox System a couple of times a week, which I think helps as well, but I’m seeing even more improvements with regard to the symptoms mentioned above, specifically breast tenderness and acne, which I didn’t experience before starting the celery juice.
