A Walk In The Park

^^ This little man is getting so close to walking! He went from slow crawling to fast crawling and pulling up SO FAST! He’s cruising all around – from ottoman to couch and back. He’s also so curious and loves to see what is inside things – drawers, cabinets, etc. He’s more curious than his brother was! I can tell we are going to have our hands very full in the next year+.

Mazen’s treasure box is off limits!

He also LOVES to put things in his mouth – leaves, crumbs, and omg – he had a PENNY in his mouth the other day that he found under the rug. That was a scary one.

We both had a little cold come on over the weekend, and so that hasn’t been very fun. But I did figure out how to put him on my back (I watched a video on You Tube for tips) and he took a cat nap on me. It was so sweet. And I got SO much done with him on my back compared to my front. I made a whole dinner!

Chicken Tacos x10

We made chicken tacos last week and ate them too many times. Dinner, lunch, dinner, lunch. It was so convenient to have the chicken on hand though! We used a basic salsa chicken recipe in the crockpot.

Neighborhood Dinner

Last week we got together with the crew from our bus stop (5 families and counting) and had a back to school dinner. I brought a salad, and we had pizza for all.

Mackeral > Sardines > Tuna

I might have a new favorite fish! I had a tin of mackeral in my pantry and made a little salad with capers, relish, and chopped veg. It was so good with lime chips!

Egg Burrito

Another quick lunch: a tortilla with egg, tomatoes, greens, avocado, sharp cheddar, and Greek yogurt.

Oh Baby Muffins

I made another batch of these muffins for breakfast one morning. Birch has been eating them all week, and I’ve put a few in M’s lunchbox.

First Grade

Has been going well! M went right back into the swing of things. Our bus comes 15 minutes later this year, and that plus the fact that Birch nurses for 3 minutes instead of 20 has been SUCH a morning game changer.

Breakfasts In Jars

On the left: Plenty Lemony Chia Pudding. Obviously packed with lemon zest that was soooo delicious. Tasted like lemon curd (maybe there was also curd in there?!) And on the right: a green smoothie with my father in law’s famous granola on top.

Salmon Nicoise Salad

Also from last week’s Plenty order: a salmon salad with potatoes, green beans, and olives. His, hers, and littles.

A Walk In The Park

Birch has been obsessed with his bouncer for months, and so I knew he would love swinging. The partner swing was a big hit!
