New Healthy Food Finds

This post is sponsored by BabbleBoxx.
Hey friends, did you know March is National Nutrition Month? Well, it is, and I have a fun post today, thanks to BabbleBoxx, to celebrate!
BabbleBoxx sent me an awesome box of goodies, including healthy dressings, keto snack bars, beet juice, and more, so let me show you some new tasty food finds!

Action for Healthy Kids

Action for Healthy Kids sent a fun silicon oven mitt, which has already gotten quite a bit of use. As you might remember, Quinn is ALL about cooking and baking, so it's become part of his repertoire of kitchen tools. For safety reasons (he's only 5), he doesn't handle a lot of hot dishes, but he loves wearing it while he works! 🙂 We joke that he'd win "Kids Guacamole Championship" if it was a show on TV.

Ok, let me tell you about Action for Healthy Kids...

Action for Healthy Kids creates healthier schools by bringing all the members of a school community together and equipping them with the tools and resources they need to make change happen, and the organization focuses schools and communities with the greatest need.

Parents and caregivers are key to good health and well-being for kids, so Action for Healthy Kids works to take action and help ensure that every child is supported in leading a healthy lifestyle. According to a national survey by AFHK, 76% of parents say they have improved their own habits based on something their child told them about health and well-being, which is another reason why it’s so important children learn about health and nutrition at school.

You can learn more and take action for your kids by joining the movement at www.actionforhealthykids.org/take-action.

GiveawayCommit to Take Action for Healthy Kids at www.actionforhealthykids.org/win by March 31, 2020 and be entered to win a healthy taste test kit to host a fun and tasty nutrition education activity for students at your child’s school. Valued at $175.

Healthy Choice Power Dressings

You guys know I love a good dressing, but I don't love all of the yucky ingredients in a lot of them. The base of these dressings is made from cauliflower puree (!!), herbs, spices, and sunflower oil (not soybean or canola oil). Pretty great, right?

These dressings are also made without any artificial flavors and only 45 calories or less per serving. Yup, obviously, I was really impressed by the ingredients. I was sent the Garden French and Creamy Italian flavors, and I'm in love! Delicious!!

TRIBE Hummus

Dessert hummus? Sign me up! Seriously, this stuff is addictive. I love dipping strawberries and banana slices as well as using a spoon to scoop it straight into my mouth! 😉 I may or may not add chocolate chips on occasion. Then, it tastes almost exactly like chocolate chip cookie dough!!

All Tribe Dessert Hummus flavors have only 5g of sugar per serving and no artificial preservatives. They are a better for you dessert snack you can enjoy any time of day, even breakfast! 🙂 They are also free from all major all allergens as well as on-GMO Project verified, vegan, gluten-free, and kosher.

Beetology Juices

I wasn't sure what to think about these 100% organic cold pressed beet juices, but I'm a fan, especially considering the nutritional punch that each of them packs. They're great post-workout for refueling carbs!

Beets are a versatile veggie that is packed with vitamins and minerals associated with lowering blood pressure, fighting inflammation, increased stamina, detoxification support, boosting immunity, and much more. The Beetology Juices are made from all natural ingredients with no preservatives or additives, no artificial colors or flavors.

And if you're wondering, the Beetology Juices don't taste "beet-y." The tropical fruit flavor had a slightly sweet flavor made with pineapple, coconut, mango, and lime juice. Even Quinn liked it!! 🙂

Keto Snack Bars from GoodToGo

I'm not one to jump on a diet bandwagon, but these Keto Snack Bars are good for just about any diet! These soft-baked bars are made with real, organic and are vegan, gluten-free, peanut-free, kosher and Non-GMO Project Verified. And, bonus, no funny ingredients! Each bar contains 8 grams of fiber, just a hint of sugar (2 grams) and a whopping 13 grams of healthy fats.

And the flavors are out of this world! They're made with real, tasty ingredients, like coconut and raspberries, so they don't taste artificial. The texture reminds me of a cookie!

I also like that the bars are portion controlled in the sense that they are divided into 4 sections, so you can literally break off a section for when you just want a bite of something sweet. Perfect! 🙂

SHIPT Membership

I'm a huge fan of grocery delivery (you may have seen me mention it once or twice on Instagram), which is why I was so excited to give Shipt a try. I didn't realize it was available in our area, but a number of stores (i.e. Target, CVS, Shaws) are included.

Shipt is the nation’s fastest growing online grocery marketplace, and they work with all kinds of leading retailers and local stores to deliver groceries via a community of shoppers and a convenient app.

I recently tried Shipt to shop at Target, and it was awesome. Earlier that morning, Quinn had dropped his toothbrush between the sink and dryer in the downstairs bathroom, so it go all gross and linty. I had planned to swing by Target to get him a new toothbrush, along with some other items, but the day totally got away from me with calls and appointments. So I figured it was the perfect opportunity to try Shipt, and I loved its convienence. The prices online were the same as what I would expect in-store, our items were delivered promptly (within 2 hours), and there was no extra charge for having them delivered. I will absolutely used Shipt again!
