HOW TO MAKE HOMEMADE CHILI SEASONING MIX

Making your own spice mixes is the easiest thing you could ever do in the kitchen. I find it’s easiest to collect all your spice jars on your kitchen counter first so you aren’t constantly hunting for the next jar. But aside from that, all you do is put the spices in a bowl or bag and mix them up!

HOW MUCH CHILI SPICE SHOULD YOU USE?

The formula for this mix is pretty simple.

Use 2 tbsp. for every 1 lb. of meat

Once you get a feel for the strength of this spice mix, you can easily adjust with more if you prefer. But 2 tbsp. is a good start.

All the spices for this Chili Spice Recipe sit in a white bowl, waiting to be blended together. You can see each individual spice.

WHAT SPICES SHOULD YOU USE FOR CHILI SEASONING?

The list is pretty basic, using many spices you probably already have in your spice cabinet. And if you don’t, this list is a great way to stock your pantry for future recipes because the spices are all ones you can use individually in your day to day cooking.
